Refund Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Two things are always true here. You can change your mind straight away, and we do not want to be paid for time you did not use. Everything below follows from those.

Your first 48 hours

  • If Provaprep is not for you, email support@provaprep.com within 48 hours of your first payment and we refund that payment in full.
  • No reason needed, and it does not matter how much you used it. Have a proper look around first, that is what the window is for.
  • This applies to your first payment only, once per customer. Resubscribing later does not open a second window.
  • After 48 hours this particular door closes, but the next section covers any period you did not use in the last 30 days.

After that: periods you did not use, in the last 30 days

Subscriptions renew on their own, and it is easy to forget one is running. If you were charged for a period and did not study at all during it, tell us and we will refund that charge.

We look back 30 days from the day you ask. On a monthly plan that is the month behind you. On a weekly plan it is the four weeks behind you, and each week is judged on its own.

Judging it one billing period at a time is what makes that work. An example, because it is the clearest way to say it: suppose you are on a weekly plan, you practise in week 1, do not open the app at all in week 2, and practise again in week 3. We refund week 2 only. Weeks 1 and 3 you used, so those stand.

When you ask, we look at your account for study activity in the period concerned. Anything counts: practice sets, mock exams, flashcards, study guides. If there is none, we refund it. If our records do not match your memory, say so and we will look again.

Past 30 days a period has closed, whether you used it or not, and cancelling does not stop that clock. We would rather say so plainly than leave you to find out. If a much older charge is bothering you, write to us anyway and tell us what happened, because the section on billing mistakes further down has no time limit at all and it may well be the one that applies.

What we do not refund

  • Periods you studied in. Once the 48 hour window has passed, using the app in a period means that period is not refundable, even if you used it only a little.
  • Part of a period. We do not prorate refunds. If you cancel midway through a week or a month, we do not refund the remainder of it, we simply let your access run out.
  • Periods that ended more than 30 days ago. Used or not, they have closed. The 48 hour window on your first payment and the billing mistakes section below are the two exceptions.

Changing plans is not a refund

If you move up to a higher plan partway through a period, we charge you the difference for the days that are left, not a fresh full price. Your unused time on the old plan is credited against it. That happens straight away, on the card you have on file, and it is a normal charge rather than anything to do with the rules above.

Billing mistakes are not refund requests

If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, charged the wrong amount, or charged for an account that is not yours, none of the rules above apply. That is our error or a security problem, not a refund question, and we fix it whenever you tell us, however long ago it happened.

How to ask

Email support@provaprep.com from the email address on your Provaprep account and say what you would like refunded. That is the whole process. There is no form.

We aim to reply within 2 business days, and to send the refund within 5 business days of agreeing it. The money goes back to the card you paid with. Your bank usually takes a further 5 to 10 business days to show it, which is outside our control.

Cancelling is not the same as a refund

Cancelling stops future charges. A refund returns money you have already paid. You can do either, or both.

To cancel, open Provaprep, go to Settings, and choose Cancel subscription. The cancellation flow runs inside the app: it asks why you're leaving, then confirms the date your access ends. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can resume any time before that date from the same screen. To update your card or download invoices, choose Manage subscription instead, which opens our payment provider's secure billing page; to change your plan, use the Plans screen in the app.

What you are subscribing to

  • Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. They continue, and you continue to be charged, until you cancel.
  • Core and Plus renew weekly. Elite renews monthly.
  • The price and the renewal period are shown on the plan you choose, and again on the payment page, before you are charged anything.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • The free plan is free. There is no charge and therefore nothing to refund.

Where we sell

Provaprep is sold in the United States only, and all prices are in U.S. dollars. It is a study tool for U.S. real estate licensing exams, so it is not built to be useful anywhere else. If you subscribed from outside the United States, contact us and we will cancel and refund you regardless of how long ago you paid.

Before you dispute a charge

If something looks wrong on your statement, please email us first. A refund we send directly is faster than a dispute filed with your bank, and it does not tie either of us up for weeks. We would rather give you your money back than argue about it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. The version in force on the day you were charged is the one that applies to that charge.
